Site Safety - Fully covered footwear must be worn on site (including classrooms) at all times while attending courses.


Assessment Conditions & Course Details

Assessments for high risk equipment are conducted in accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and WorkCover NSW regulations. Under WorkCover Regulations knowledge and practical assessments are mandatory and must be completed in English; interpretors can not be used.

Course participants will be required to provide 100 points of identification before they can be asessed. The identification documents and provisions are specified on Page 2 Part 6 of WorkCover Form CA1. Participants can not be assessed if their identification documents do not comply with the Regulations.

Forklift

  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment
  • Literacy: The course includes theory study and 2 written assessments. Students who have difficulty reading/writing should discuss this with our staff when making a boooking.
  • Course Duration: 2 - 3 days depending on prior experience
  • Course numbers: 1 - 6
  • Outcome: National licence to perform High Risk Work - Class LF (issued by WorkCover NSW) Enquiries & Bookings

Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN) over 3 tonnes capacity

  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment.
  • Literacy: A minimum level of literacy and numeracy skills applies.  Course is not suitable for persons who can not read and write English and apply year 10 (or equivalent) math. Oral assessments are not available.
  • Course Duration: 1 - 3 days depending on prior knowledge and experience in crane operation and/or dogging
  • Course numbers: 4 - 8
  • Outcome: National licence to perform High Risk Work - Class CN (issued by WorkCover NSW) Enquiries & Bookings

Slewing Mobile Crane (C2) up to 20 tonnes or (C6) up to 60 tonnes

  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment.
  • Literacy: A minimum level of literacy and numeracy skills applies.  Course is not suitable for persons who can not read and write English and apply year 10 (or equivalent) math. Oral assessments are not available.
  • Course Duration: 2 - 5 days depending on prior knowledge and experience in crane operation and/or dogging
  • Course numbers: 4-6
  • Outcome: National licence to perform High Risk Work - Class C2 or C6 (issued by WorkCover NSW) Enquiries & Bookings

Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) 10 metre tonnes and above

  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment.
  • Literacy: A minimum level of literacy and numeracy skills applies.  Course is not suitable for persons who can not read and write English and apply year 10 (or equivalent) math. Oral assessments are not available.
  • Course Duration: 1 - 3 days depending on prior knowledge and experience in crane operation and/or dogging
  • Course numbers: 4 - 8
  • Outcome: National licence to perform High Risk Work - Class CV (issued by WorkCover NSW) Enquiries & Bookings

Dogging (DG)

  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment.
  • Literacy: A minimum level of literacy and numeracy skills applies.  Course is not suitable for persons who can not read and write English and apply year 10 (or equivalent) math. Oral assessments are not available.
  • Course Duration: 4 days depending on prior experience in crane operation
  • Course numbers: 4 - 6

Elevating Work platform (WP) boom length 11 metres or more

  • NOTE: This course is not recommended for persons who suffer from Acrophobia (fear of heights)
  • Pre-requisites: Must be 18 or older or turn 18 prior to date of assessment
  • Literacy: The course includes theory study and 2 written assessments. Students who may experience difficulty reading/writing should discuss this with our staff when making a booking.
